No one should be without the knowledge, skills, and attitude that it takes to safely own a handgun. The National Rifle Association's Basic Pistol course is designed for those of you who want to start learning how to shoot. There is no need for any prior experience to participate, although more experienced shooters have taken the class and ended up learning some very valuable skills.
This NRA Basic Pistol Shooting Course introduces students to the Knowledge, Skills, and Attitude necessary for owning and using a pistol safely. Through this course, the student will learn about pistol parts and operation, ammunition, gun safety, pistol shooting fundamentals, and pistol shooting activities. The Basic Pistol Course will also help prepare the student for participation in other NRA courses. Shooters will need eye and ear protection. Students are required to have 50 rounds of ammunition for their handgun for the range portion of the course.This course is taught by competent, fully certified, experienced instructors who love their work. They all know the importance of starting out right; and they all want to help you build a solid foundation so that you will be able to fully enjoy the shooting sports for a long time.
This is a basic fundamental shooting class. You do not need a holster for this class.
